After a long winter, the citizens of Shinjo gather amidst the cherry blossoms to enjoy their traditional delicacy: broiled herring (called "kado" in the Mogami Region). Of course, there's plenty of sake to go around too. Held during Golden Week, this event is the perfect opportunity to get in touch with nature. |
