Serving both as a prayer ceremony for traffic safety on the Chokai Blue Line Highway and to create P.R. for the autumn foliage and scenery of Mt. Chokai, this event features a traditional cutting of deer antlers for the winter season at the National Citizen's Lodge, Ohira Lodge, where the deer are raised. The cut antlers, freshly harvested rice, telephone cards and more are given to the winners of a drawing, along with free "imoni" (taro stew). |
