This is an annual festivity of Nanoka-machi Kannon-do. In the temple precincts, rows of shops sell auspicious goods like Daruma, Kumade (rake), Hagoita (ornamental battledores), etc, attracting many worshippers. It is also customary for local residents to eat "Kiri-sansho" (a sansho herb cake) on this day. |
